Thinking about coming to Inuvik for the Northern National Event?

There are two ways to get there: by air or by road.

Flying?

If you're travelling from southern Canada, you can catch connecting flights in Edmonton on First Air or Canadian North. Those coming from other northern communities can also check with Canadian North and First Air for flights to Yellowknife and connecting flights to Inuvik. Smaller local airlines, such as Aklak Air, are also options for travel to Inuvik.

New! First Air

First Air is offering a discounted airfare to the Northern National Event .

The First Air discount code is TRC40. This code will enable all attendees to access the 40% discount off First Air's Q fares from all First Air routes into Inuvik, one way or return.

Driving?

All points south of Inuvik are connected via the fabled Dempster Highway. The road is unpaved and, depending from where you start to drive, there are two ferry crossings over the Mackenzie and Red Rivers, respectively.

For more infomation on the road conditions on the Dempster Highway, click here if you're driving in the Northwest Territories and here for when you're driving in the Yukon (the Dempster spans both Territories).
